Forget ‘shuffle’, craft your own mixtape with care

TechForget ‘shuffle’, craft your own mixtape with care

Hit by the digital storm, the music enthusiast in most of us gradually forgot the joys of listening to songs on mixtapes. Now, taking cassette lovers on a nostalgic ride back to the ’90s and celebrating the forgotten art of creating mixtapes, Everyone’s Mixtape lets you craft and share your own virtual mixed tape and enjoy uninterrupted music.

Describing it to be more than a playlist, creator Adam Pash says, “Everyone’s Mixtape is not about adding songs and hitting shuffle. It’s about the time you looked at a cassette’s length as a challenge. About the time you stayed up most of the night making sure all the tracks flowed from song to song. It’s about the time your heart skipped a beat when the boy from science class handed you your first mixtape.”

After a simple sign-in using Google or Facebook, the website lets you construct your own mixtape or enjoy some music on previously shared ones. After clicking on ‘Make a Mix’, the site prompts you to name your tape and gives you options for selecting the length from 60, 90 and 120 minutes or even infinite if you plan to create a collaborative tape. Once done, you can search for your music from sites like Vimeo, YouTube and Soundcloud, and rearrange them according to your preference. Satisfied with your virtual creation? You can now share and embed the link to your social networking profiles.

Everyone’s Mixtape is a great way to create your favourite tape, share it with friends, and relive a few childhood moments. So, login, select, share and get grooving!
