Netaji’s kin will seek PM’s help to unravel death mystery

NewsNetaji’s kin will seek PM’s help to unravel death mystery

All eyes are on the proposed meeting of the family members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and activists of Mission Netaji with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday. “We are hopeful that the Prime Minister will make some concrete announcement regarding the declassification of the Netaji files,” said Anuj Dhar of Mission Netaji, who will be a part of the 50-member team meeting the PM.
A 10-member delegation comprising niece of Netaji, Chitra Bose, Chandra Kumar Bose, Abhijeet Ray, besides Anuj Dhar and Chandrachud Ghosh of Mission Netaji and others will hold consultations with the PM.
However, Anita Pfaff, Netaji’s daughter; Krishna Bose, widow of Netaji’s nephew Shishir Bose and Sugata Bose, Netaji’s grandnephew, will not attend the meeting.
Pfaff, who lives in Germany, had earlier told a news agency that she had requested a meeting with the PM during her planned visit to India this winter.
An agenda has been sent to the PMO where the family members have mentioned that they would seek complete declassification of all Netaji files to solve the mystery surrounding his disappearance in 1945.
The West Bengal government recently released 64 Netaji files. According to Dhar, “The atmosphere has become quite conducive after the Mamata Banerjee government’s decision to declassify files and we hope that the PM would make some big announcement before the people of the country.”
