J&K will stop Geelani’s ‘million march’

NewsJ&K will stop Geelani’s ‘million march’
Separatist leader Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani’s proposed “million march” rally on Saturday, 7 November, seen by many as a counter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Srinagar the same day, may not see the light of the day as the administration is loath to grant permission for it.
A senior government official told this newspaper that the permission for the separatist event was “most unlikely” as it will create a law and order problem. The “million march” will also disrupt the movement of the public going for the PM’s meeting. Geelani’s spokesman Ayaz Akbar, however, told the media that they will apply to the District Magistrate of Srinagar to grant them permission for holding the “peaceful march” at TRC ground in Srinagar.
Geelani is going to invite all the separatist leaders including Yasin Malik for the rally.
