NEC Japanese Language Academy

NTI recently established the Japanese Language Academy in New Delhi, as a skill-building partner for Japanese language and intercultural training. It was inaugurated by Ambassador of Japan to India Kenji Hiramatsu. With this initiative, NTI aims to bring in its in-house excellence and expertise of over a decade to cultivate Japanese language skills and fulfill growing business needs between Japan and India, further helping in mutual economic growth and contributing to the “Skill India” programme. The academy has curated six unique programmes to offer specialized training on the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test, Interpretation and translation techniques, Japanese business practices and preparation for working in a Japanese company.

Open Source Software (OSS) Technology Centre

NEC Corporation and NTI on 1 July 2016 announced the establishment of the “OSS Technology Centre,” an organization specializing in technical support related to the use of OSS. The OSS Technology Centre aims to strengthen the organizational structure for supporting global enterprises in building systems based on OSS, to reinforce collaboration with international OSS vendors and to provide rapid technical support to users.

NEC in India Supporting Key Govt projects

The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Trust and NEC Corporation have formed a joint venture — DMIC Logistics Data Services Limited — with 50:50 equity participation to execute the operationally driven logistics data bank (LDB) project that will provide the tracking and viewing of container movement across all ports to the inland container depots (ICDs) and end-users. 

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is the only identification system in the world that has registered one billion users. This milestone was achieved in May 2016. 

Apart from the key initiatives, NEC in India is championing the agenda to strengthen Indo-Japanese relations by contributing in the retail, banking and finance, biometrics, public safety, smart energy, e governance and infrastructure fields.
