Bike mods in full throttle race

LifestyleBike mods in full throttle race
Motorbike customisation is a rarefied, almost an academic field having little appeal to a layperson’s sensibilities. But so are all the classical arts. Let’s just say that bike mods are an acquired taste, and it takes time and understanding to be able to properly appreciate a souped-up two-wheeler.
At this year’s Harley Rock Riders, Harley Davidson has put together a tribute to independent bike-makers in India. The Custom Champions contest will be the first-of-its-kind forum to identify and reward motorbike customisers in the country.
Among the participants in this contest are some of the leading indie bike manufacturers and customisers in India. The names include TJ Moto, MotoMiu, East India Motorcycle Revolution, Godspeed Customs and TNT Motorcycles.
This gives a new twist to Harley’s annual Rock Riders  event, which is scheduled to open in Mumbai this year on 30 October. The participants in Custom Champions contest will be given a shot at customising a Harley Davidson bike, and the winners will be given an all-expenses -paid trip to the Harley museum in Wisconsin, USA.
