Website of the week: Sport a fresh new look

TechWebsite of the week: Sport a fresh new look
Looking to sell t-shirts that you have designed? Look no further than Freshmonk. Freshmonk is a platform where you can design and pre-sell your products online. The website offers three programs — for affiliates, brands and celebrities. Let us skip to the affiliate program because that’s what interests us. The website claims that you can earn upto 60% profits without any upfront costs, and you will be assisted by Freshmonk in printing, shipping, and customer services. The first step is to design a t-shirt. Next, you decide a price, and you will be advised to keep this within Rs 499 and Rs 699 “to earn maximum profits”. You will now be given a 14-day window in which to pitch your campaign to buyers and make sales. Marketing is completely upto you, though, and once customers make purchases, Freshmonk promises that the profits will reach directly to your bank account. Briefly, the Freshmonk affiliate program offers 35-60% profits per sale, 21 days payment terms and it also entails promotional costs, which have been kept low, according to the website. Moving on to the designing part, clicking on the “get started” button takes you to a page that lets you pick a style — t-shirts for men or women and hoodies — in seven colour options. On the right hand side of the page there are options that let you add text or pictures to your t-shirt, and you can select one from the template, pick one from clip art or upload your own image. Once you place the image, tools appear that allow you to drag, expand and rotate the image. Clicking “proceed” lets you set a price for your product and the last step helps you to design your campaign page. Freshmonk, which was founded in 2013 by Prashant Gulati and Shashank Agrawal, operates out of Singapore and India, serving over 20 countries. It will soon expand to other products like full-sleeve shirts, mugs and tote bags. Go check it out.
