High design ethnic Indian wear online

FashionHigh design ethnic Indian wear online
IndianRoots, an ethnic Indian wear e-commerce enterprise, started by entrepreneur Rahul Narvekar from Mumbai, completes two years since its launch this month. Their portfolio of artists boasts names such as Rohit Bal, Anita Dongre, Anju Modi, Neeta Lulla, Rajdeep Ranawat, Manyavar and plenty more. Initially, the portal focussed its energies on tackling high-end ethnic wear, but they have since expanded to incorporate clothes for men and kids, as also home décor and furnishing. IndianRoots started off as an initiative focussing almost exclusively on international markets, but over time it has increased operations in India, to the point where 65% of their orders are from India now. Additionally, a giant feather in their cap has to be the sale of an heirloom shawl by designer Pranavi Kapur for Rs 19 lakh.

Currently, IndianRoots has over 700 brands available, while also hosting more than 100 designers from the country. Next on the horizon is a leap from the virtual world into the physical one, as IndianRoots intends to open offline experience centres across the world, including in India.
