A unique initiative, “Swachhagraha” has been launched to increase awareness about sanitation, nutrition, health and hygiene among children and to ensure effective intervention .

The idea of “Swachhagraha”, an advocacy platform, has been inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Swachh Bharat, and has been taken up by the Aquakraft Projects Pvt Ltd, iTV Network, in association with the Children’s Film Society of India. “Swachhagraha is a platform to aggregate support, ideas and innovations to provide clean drinking water, safe toilets, adequate nutrition and hygiene across the schools, thereby enabling a healthy and clean India. We will leverage the social media and will aggressively advocate the cause of Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat and Sampann Bharat,” said Kartikeya Sharma,  Founder & Promoter, iTV Network.

 On the launch of “Swachhagraha”, its architect Subramanya Kusnur said: “Our objective is to bridge the divide between the haves and the have nots.” Chatur Ideas, an organisation promoting the Start Up India program, will be the programme implementation partner. “Inclusive  participation is the only way to grassroots development,” said Devesh Chawla, Founder & CEO of Chatur Ideas.

Subramanya, founder chairman & CEO of Aquakraft Projects Pvt Ltd, said: “It is heartening to see the support pouring from schools, corporates and volunteers. A nukkad natak Swachh Baharat Sachh Hoga was enacted by children of eight schools in Talassari, Maharashtra under the auspices of Larsen & Toubro Public Charitable Trust on Independence Day. Similarly, over 2,000 students of MVM Educational Trust at Andheri, Mumbai pledged their support to “Swachhagraha” by mentoring schools in rural areas in the outskirts of Mumbai.
