Anarkali Suits:

Mughal-e-Azam set a fashion trend, which set an indelible impression on Indian women for more than half a century and now it’s again in limelight in the fashion industry. These suits were first embellished by Bollywood beauty Madhubala in 60’s which made a comeback in late 2006 with UmraoJaan. Since then, they have been trending with a modern twist. From Bollywood divas to common people , everyone wears Anarkali suits now.

Tanks and crops:

Back in the 90’s, tank tops and crop tops were  trending. With the passage of time, it faded away and now has seen a  resurgence with new, modern additions in it. 90’s crop tops is one of the best legacies handed down to us from the great epoch. UrmilaMatondkar in Rangeela to KarismaKapoor in Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge all of them wore crop tops, which had created a style symbol in the era. From denims ripped at the knees to shorts and hot pants, flair skirts to umbro shorts and army pants, tank tops and crop tops rule the roost.

Dungarees:

By the end of the 40s, dungarees or overall became fashionable. They were popular for children’s clothing. By the 60s, dungarees became the fashion trends among youth. In subsequent years, dungarees have gone in and out of fashion. Denim dungarees highlighted in Jab Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 2000. Again overalls hit the fashion with a rage and give a comeback.

Bell-bottom Pants:

Bell-bottoms were a style symbol in 70’s after the movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna tarring Zeenat Aman, Dev Anand and Mumtaz. The credit goes to Zeenat Aman for this fashion style. Bell-bottoms were complimented by pairing them up with platform shoes and oversized sunglasses. The trend was followed for a long time, captivating youngsters tirelessly. The retro look is back in fashion now.

High-waist bottoms:

In 80’s, high waist bottoms was one of the biggest trends. Madonna was one of the most influential stars of the decade. She would show off her midriff while wearing high waist bottoms and crop top. In India, Bollywood actors Neetu Singh, Hema Malini popularized the trend in 70’s. High-waist denim and pants are back in the form of a new fashion statement.  Women wore them with loose ly tucked-in shirts, tanks tops and crop tops or cropped jackets. The style is making inroads into wardrobes once again!
