Designer Jyoti Sharma hosted a get together to celebrate the success of her collection Nrpsuta – Regalia of a modern Princess showcased at WLIFW. The guests witnessed a fashion show over superb food and a laidback stylish ambience.

The event took place at Barka, Garden of Five Senses where designerz Sulakshana Monga, Varija Bajaj, Niket and Jainee, Joy Mitra, Dolly J, and, Ajiesh Oberoi, along with entrepreneur Ratika Seth, models Karishma Shandil and Aditi Sharma, were present.The women›s wear collection “Nrpsuta» by Sharma focuses on exalting the modern Indian princess who has thrived through the most revolutionary journey till today. Eminently standing high with her strong ideas and dovetailing her traditional culture with her modern duties, her life is encapsulated in the glamour and romance of the Raj.  Sharma has worked before with “The Suneet Verma” design label and later started her own label, “Bhanuni” in 2008. The label has its own flagship store in Saidulajab Extension where the manufacturing unit is also situated.

The collection presented at the event embraces clean-cut silhouettes, standing collars and strong shoulders with the shahi tadka of Mughal motifs in the designer’s signature style of handcrafted intricate surface ornamentation. The ensembles are gracefully painted with the colours of royalty, celebrating the primacy of red, nobility of blue and allay of beige intertwined with a spark of rust orange and the dignity/ glory of black, highlighted with regal gold.
