Indian culinary forum provides a platform for chefs from across India to showcase their talent under one roof. Indian Culinary Forum in association with Hospitality First & ITPO is all set to organize ‘Culinary Art India, 2016’ as a part of Aahar International Food and Hospitality fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The 11th Edition of Culinary Art India will kick start from March 15 and will continue till March 19, 2016. Culinary Art India 2016 (CAI) is expected to witness over 300 chefs exhibiting their culinary skills under one roof. Well-known chefs from the hospitality fraternity will showcase their flair at the food fiesta and students will brainstorm for their eclectic passion for food along with the competing chefs. The general public will witness live demonstrations by culinary enthusiasts and renowned chefs.

The five-day event will recognize excellence in the culinary art in India. Chefs from across India and abroad will participate in the event as honorary Guests and Juries. Chef Shanli Ong Beng Yew from Malaysia will be presiding as the Chairperson of the jury in this year’s competitions. This platform is to create awareness about the profession of chefs and felicitate the achievers in this line of work.

Several eminent chefs from the hospitality fraternity presented their mastery in culinary through 16 different award category including Individual Artistic Display in 3-Tier Wedding Cake, Artistic Pastry Showpiece, Artistic Bakery Showpiece, Fruit & Vegetable Carving and Butter or Margarine Sculpture. There will be competitions in cold display like Plated Appetizers, Petit Fours or Pralines, Three Course Set Dinner Menu, Plated Desserts & Authentic Indian Regional Cuisine. Besides these display competitions, there will be live cooking competitions in the five-day event.

Chef Devinder Kumar, President, Indian Culinary Forum said,“ICF is proud to host the 11th edition of Culinary Art India – a professional Culinary Excellence Challenge held alongside AAHAR – 2016 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The objective of CAI is to offer fellow chefs a professional platform to showcase, exhibit, hone culinary skills and raise the overall Indian Culinary Art at par with international standards.”

Speaking about CAI 2016, Chef Vivek Saggar, General Secretary, of Indian Culinary Forum said, “This Professional Culinary Challenge will be an event of international standards for chefs to display their masterly skill and to be accredited by a panel of internationally acclaimed judges. ICF has tied up with Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council to undertake international level certification of Chefs and F&B professionals under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna. ICF has taken the lead to contribute in Prime Minister’s ‘Skill India’ mission.”

Indian Culinary Forum: The Indian Culinary Forum is India’s association of Professional chefs of Northern India. It was formed in New Delhi in 1987 as an exclusive non-profit-making organization, dedicated solely to the advancement of the culinary art of India. The Forum’s objective is to act as a link, a platform and an instrument for the enhancement and overall development of the national community of chefs.
