Geelani asks youth to shun ISIS

NewsGeelani asks youth to shun ISIS
Hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani has asked the Kashmiri youth to stay away from the influence of terrorist group ISIS and has described them as “murderers who are out to spill innocent blood on the streets”.
He said that the youth who are displaying ISIS flags in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir should not repeat the act as they are “siding with evil”.
He has appealed to educated Kashmiri youth who are active on social media not to fall prey to any ISIS propaganda.
Breaking the silence over the growing influence of ISIS on Kashmiri youth, Geelani, speaking at a seminar on Tuesday, said that it was the duty of the leadership to educate the youth to stay away from the influence of ISIS.
“Our youth should know that ISIS is a group of murderers and killers and is not the true face of Islam,” Geelani said, adding that ISIS has brought a bad name to Muslims globally and the youth of Kashmir should not be influenced by their “brute ideology which is un-Islamic and inhuman”.
