Within just two years of commencing its operations,  Jaypee Hospital, a multi-Super Specialty Hospital in Sector 128, Noida, has achieved a milestone by performing more than 100 successful liver and renal transplants at affordable rates.

The hospital started performing liver and renal transplants in 2015 and has already completed 112 transplants so far. Patients come for transplants not just from Noida (and the rest of Uttar Pradesh), but also from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and other parts of India. With world class medical treatment provided at the hospital, it has been able to win the trust of patients across the globe. Patients from countries like Mongolia, Pakistan, Iraq, Nigeria, and Kyrgyzstan also come to Jaypee Hospital for transplants. The team of doctors from the Liver and Renal Transplant departments has performed many successful transplants in patients with critical medical diseases, including ABO incompatible liver and kidney transplantations.

Due to world-class medical treatment provided at the hospital, patients from countries like Mongolia, Pakistan, Iraq, Nigeria and Kyrgyzstan come to Jaypee Hospital for transplants.

Around two lakh people die every year due to liver ailments. In India, about 30,000 patients need liver transplants, but only 1,800 are being transplanted currently. In case of kidney transplants, about 5,000 kidneys are being transplanted currently, whereas in India about 2,00,000 people are suffering from kidney failure.

According to a recent study, obesity not only results in increased risk of developing diabetes and hypertension, but also an increased risk of developing renal dysfunction. Hence, awareness needs to be created among people and motivate them to come forward for the noble cause of organ donation to save lives. In the past two years, Jaypee Hospital has treated more than two lakh patients in various specialities.
