Founded by Deepak Sethi & Kishor K. Thakur, the masterminds behind the “Delhi Waste Management” project, POM POM has started its operations in South Delhi and will be “addressing the disposal needs of more than 1,000,000 individuals producing large quantities of recyclable waste every day,” a press statement read. To recycle your trash all you have to do is drop a call or message, or put in a request via the POM POM mobile app, which is available on Google PlayStore and iOS. After collecting the recyclables, the company further adds value by segregating these and supplies them to industries that recycle them to manufacture new products.
In the words of Deepak Sethi, Co-Founder & CEO, POM POM Recycling Pvt Ltd., “All the plastic shopping bags, glass and plastic bottles that we discard are 100% recyclable. Yet this material is not recycled and ends up choking a landfill that eventually leads to contamination of soil and water bodies.
