Hugo

Hugo is a German luxury fashion house that dazzled its way through NYFW’s spring collection this time.  The first look was stark white, like a canvas that made the entire collection stand out. Wild prints on the sheer organza dresses made the collection more versatile. Spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection had sheer clothes for men too. Many of those who walked the ramp wore printed T-shirts under navy two-piece suits. Collection also offered overcoats, which could be paired with skirts, dresses or trousers.

Tom Ford

Tom Ford came up with the new ready-to-wear collection at NYFW Spring’18. Some of the highlights of the collection were men’s suits that were tailored made to fit the female body, broad shoulder women jacket in shocking pink velvet and shimmery nude colours that glammed up the runway this time. The collection comprised of structured dinner jackets paired with a plunge-front, sheer dresses and backless jumpsuit. It also had sequinned gowns in different colours, cut-out jersey column dress.

Rosetta Getty

Getty’s collection this season had comfort dressing at its core. The ready-to-wear collection displayed sky-blue trench coat with fluted sleeves, and matte jersey column gown with V-neck. The collection had bright red suit with a ruched waist along with a maxi dress of translucent patchwork. The couture also offered nude photos on shirts and tees, which made a statement with baggy denim, a silk vest that could be paired with wide-legged trousers. The collection was more into black and white this season.

Gary Graham

Gary Graham’s collection as always was beautiful to see and feel, especially the layered slip dresses and the long-sleeved jersey tops with patchwork floral prints. The Victorian neckline tank tops were also interesting, as were the pocketed skirt and mattress ticking dress, striped trench coat, trousers and dresses. Collection also had black lacy-layered dresses. Floral print jumpsuit, sheer maxi dresses in beautiful pastel colours were also part of the collection.
