Apparel brand Diva’ni by Yash Raj Films launched its fall-winter 2015 collection at their store in South Extension, New Delhi on 4 November. The new designs are reminiscent of the glorious 1950s, a time when bling and sequin were freshly in vogue. The line encompasses a wide range — providing outfits for all moods and occasions — including princess gowns and empire line, bling power suits, and short cut out jumpsuits. The stylistic tendencies of the range recall a time of fun and frolic, drawing inspiration from the excesses and sophistication of the Jazz Age, incorporating the hues of rubies, emeralds, sapphires and gold. The retro approach incorporated in the new collection is further accentuated by the use of satins and velvets, sequin embroidery and gold translucent tones.
The event celebrating the unveiling of the new collection saw attended by several luminaries of Delhi’s art and lifestyle circuit, including Neera Nath, Christine Rai, Ramola Bachchan, Dr Deepali Bharadwaj, Leena Singh, Tina Chattwal, Kanika Goyal, Dhruv Kapoor, Rod Anker, Merlyn Boro, Caroline Young and more.
