It is time for the young designers to showcase their work. There are very less events in the country that feature work by young designers. India Runway Week is one such platform. India Runway Week, which is Asia’s youngest fashion trade event, aims to change the focus from known to unknown, getting some of the country’s young talented designers to showcase less expensive designer wear. This was the 6th Season of IRW in India where both established designers as well as budding young designers got a chance to showcase their collections.

India Runway Week is Asia’s youngest fashion trade event . Here International School of Design (INSD), Corporate Centre Campus, New Delhi, one of the premier design schools in India showcased their collection and once again electrified the city with its high impact. The fully integrated fashion show featured the creative minds of INSD with their breathtaking collections at the Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi on 16th April 2016. The show was graced by special guest, makeup artist Meenakshi Dutt.

International School of Design, one of the premier design schools in India, made a promising beginning under the aegis of educationists and industry leaders a few years back. It got its share of accolades in 2015 when INSD was awarded for being “The best design institute in North India”.

In the evening, many socialites were seen in the fashion show. The guest list includes Sonia Sanjay Kapoor, Sumita Dass, Avleen Khokar, Rochika Aggarwal, Mia Lakra, Umesh Dutt, Pari Pragati and many more.

The INSD fashion show rightly named “Think Design” has travelled across all boundaries of design and witnessed the extraordinary creations at its glamorous best. It was time to back pack and sneak peek in jet setting Diva’s fashion Pandora. Soaked in the paradise of this diverse extravaganza, it was an occasion to celebrate the ultimate style. Each INSDIAAN had dexterously worked on every individual collection and extracted the best vision from their creative young minds who have fastened their fashion belts and checked in their style passport  to take off on the razzmatazz runway of easy chic! The themes presented by students are Shwet, Achromania, Emotions of Khadi, Romanticism and colours of life. In addition to being a unique opportunity for upcoming talented fashion designers, the event will also spotlight the finest upcoming Interior Designers. The concept of this exciting event was to create a posh environment to enjoy a top-of-the-line runway show.

Ankit Khera, student of INSD and a budding designer who showcased his collection says, “I am thankful to IFFD and INSD for giving us a platform of this stature. The whole process from brainstorming to execution has been overwhelming. It has not only boosted our confidence but has given us an opportunity to showcase our designs in front of the stalwarts. It is a dream come true.”
