Mrs India Earth was held at ITC Welcome Hotel, Dwarka, from 28-30 September. It was a three-day event. After achieving excellence in the previous editions, Mrs. India Queen, the prestigious pageant, is now back with a bang. Mrs. India Earth pageant is an honour that celebrates the spirit of womanhood and gives a platform to talented married women, who have somewhere forgotten to live their dreams in the struggles of being a good wife, mother, and homemaker.

The pageant, Mrs. India Queen of Substance and Mrs. India Earth, was organized by VinayYadawa and Ritika Vinay Yadawa who has won the title of Mrs. Asia Pacific 2014. On 28 September, the organisers invited a press conference where Vinay shared his views: “The USP of this pageant is that it offers a platform that provides a chance to the upcoming and budding talent which is either lost in the crowd or doesn’t get a chance to showcase their talent in bigger and established fashion and beauty industry, they always try to bring hidden talent across India. It is exciting to see the quantum of talent and entrepreneurial spirit that proliferates in our country and gratifying to have an opportunity to be part of a process that will shape the fashion and beauty scape of the future.”

Mrs. India Earth was judged under the vigilance of experienced jury members like Ritika Vinay Yadwa (Director, ADIVA Innovation Pvt Ltd. Mrs. India Earth), beauty and nutrition expert Dr. Varun Katyal, hair and skin specialist Dr. Capt. Deepti Dhillon from Appleskin and Mrs. Tamanna Singh from F salon and House of Wellness, Karan Sehgal, owner of Delhi’s renowned Substance salon and studio and Shivani Sharma of Lurenail, India’s largest nail art company, to name a few. Bollywood actresses Bhagyashree and Sheeba also added glaze to the list of the jury, who had graced the evening with her presence. The event was a mix of glamour and entertainment and had the entire essential to make the evening memorable. Music director Sameer was also part of a jury, who had composed a song, especially for Mrs. India.

While addressing the press conference, Ritika Vinay Yadawa said “Mrs. India are the leaders today, I want to congratulate all the finalists. Our full support is with them; already all the jury members had mentioned that you all are the winners. All the very best and may the best person to win”.

On speaking how this beauty pageant will participate in the development of the nation, Mrs. Yadwa said, “We are giving different tasks to them, you will be happy to know that we had given a task to plant more and more trees across the world and our beautiful contestant had nailed it. They already planted over 1000 trees not only in India, but across the world to promote the healthy earth’’.

On women empowerment, Aditi Nijhawan shares her views with Guardian 20. A judge from the panel, she says, “Don’t be dependent on anyone to empower you. You are already empowered and you have to take a stand for yourself. Nobody will come forward to promote you. That spark is only in you. You just have to be confident enough to face the outer world. So just go and do it, the people who are not promoting women should wake up now, until it gets very late. We should open our eyes and minds as well towards the development of women. I would say that we should talk about human empowerment, where men and women both can be empowered together.”

Every edition keeps getting better than the previous and this year marked a lot of upcoming new and talented beauties who marked their journey in the world of fashion with the winning label of Mrs. India Queen. In its third edition, the pageant promises to set another benchmark for those who believe that life ends after marriage. The most talked about pageant show, Mrs. India Earth, had already created a buzz in Delhi.
