Dhruv Davar has played alongside Virat Kohli in his junior days. So one can well imagine the talent of this youngster. When an injury cuts short his career, the budding cricketing changed tracks, and embarked on a successful career in event management. The story of Davar and his success with his event management company, Inextis, is a saga which inspires awe.

For somebody who had always decided that he would not be fit to work in a regular job, Davar always maintained, “I was very clear—I can’t work in the day and have fun in the night, it has to be one. My first love was always sports followed by entertainment. In a fleeting conversation one day, I decided I want to try my hands at events. A field where each day comes with its own challenges and opportunities which you may have never heard till previous day,” he said.

Before launching Inextis, Davar worked with other event management companies and was a part of various successful events including 2010 Commonwealth Games. Though he knew the competition was going to be cut throat and fierce, he had immense faith in his abilities. As he puts it, “The fight is always within, not with the competition—if anyone tells you otherwise, either they haven’t realised it or they are lying.”

Under his focused aegis, today Inextis has grown multiple folds and is regarded as one of the most promising event companies. Within five years of its existence, Inextis has organised more than 300 events, won various prestigious awards like The Best Marketing Startup of the Year by Masters of Modern Marketing-mCube Awards 2017, Tata Zest Record Run Campaign’-Best Multi Channel campaign by/for an Automobile enterprise.

The company also won EEMAX Award for the “Best use of Digital Marketing for an Event or Activation” for the same campaign. Inextis has achieved these awards on the basis of its immense success, popularity and services rendered in a short span, which showcases the abilities and strength of the company. Altogether the company has won more than 15 awards in past five years now.

In a fiercely competitive field like event management, Inextis has managed to attain a 98.4% client retainer—something of a miracle. In fact, more than 80% of their business comes from Inextis existing clients.

The company is going to complete five years in January and there are big plans. “These five years had been rewarding and motivating as we started with a team of three people and today we have more than 30 co-workers. Inextis office happens to have one of the best views in the city and working with renowned brands in India is the icing on the cake. This is coupled with our strong commitment values and that is the reason we have more than 90% retention rate. This is something we have achieved in these five years and this wouldn’t be possible without the amazing team I have.”

Inextis has high plans for upcoming year as they already have few very big events in hand. They are also in a process of expanding a full-fledged office in Delhi and entering into two more verticals.

When asked why he had called his company Inextis, Davar said that he had named his company on the basis of two words. “For me, experience counts a lot. It’s the heart of everything—hence the world Inextis that actually stands for inspire and experience. Plus I like how it sounds,” he chuckled.
