14-yr-old beaten to death by seniors at school

News14-yr-old beaten to death by seniors at school

A Cass IX student of Jeevan Jyoti Senior Secondary School in north-east Delhi died after he was allegedly beaten by his school seniors.

The Delhi police apprehended three students, all of whom are Class XI students and study in the same school.  The fight between the deceased Tushaar Kumar and the other three boys was recorded on the school’s CCTV camera. Sources in Delhi police said that there were no injury marks on the body of the boy when he was recovered from the school’s washroom in an “unconscious” state. The motive of the fight is still unknown, the police said.

The investigating officer of the case, which is registered at the Khajuri Khas police station, told The Sunday Guardian, “An FIR under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered. We have apprehended the three juveniles in this case. The motive of the fight that led to the murder is still being investigated. The post-mortem report is yet to come and only after it comes, will we be able to ascertain the actual cause of the death.”

The parents of the victim blamed the school for not informing them about the incident on time.

They claimed that while the incident took place at 10.30 a.m., they were informed about it at noon.

The local MLA of Karawal Nagar, Kapil Mishra, said, “I have written a letter to  Education Minister Manish Sisodia and have asked him to give immediate compensation of Rs 1 crore to the bereaved parents,” he said.
